Jo Shearn and Adrian New have both worked in drama and education for over 20 years.

Jo graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a B.Ed (Hons) in Drama and Spoken Language. She has over 10 years experience teaching in inner city London secondary schools and worked for two years as a specialist teacher working with statemented children. Jo has also worked for many years as an actress and is an experienced improvised comedy performer and still regularly performs in Central London. She is also an optioned scriptwriter.

Adrian received a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts Management from Leicester Polytechnic.  He is a Founding Member and the Producer of StopWatch Theatre Company.  He has written and performed in educational plays and workshops on a multitude of topics in schools across the UK.  He enjoys the challenge of bringing the excitement and immediacy of live performance into the classroom.

Both Adrian and Jo believe passionately in the importance of creativity in schools and the power of drama to build confidence, boost learning and enhance teamwork and communication.  They took over Bigfoot (Hampshire & Isle of Wight) in 2014 and are proud of their hard working team who consistently get great feedback for the work they deliver. Our experienced facilitators can deliver a one-off high impact Creative Day on a wide range of topics, or become part of your team on a Creative Residency for a month, term or year.

We are delighted to work in partnership with HMS Warrior, delivering two exciting ‘Go Mantle’ programmes on board the ship in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.  The atmosphere on board the Victorian Warship combined with our exciting drama workshops provide a living history experience that students will remember forever.
