Having taught secondary drama for 5 years, Kevin Holland established the Sussex regional office in April 2004. In this time, Bigfoot have delivered thousands of workshops and creative supply days across the region. Bigfoot Sussex has a team of experienced facilitators with a range of skills and talents to suit the needs of the schools.
Kevin pursued a Masters in Education Studies at The University of Sussex with a focus on the benefits of creative approaches to teaching and learning. He also became one of the national team of trainers for Mantle of The Expert and wrote our national ‘Go Mantle’ creative supply programme. The ‘Go Mantle’ and ‘Buzz’ creative supply days are the most popular programmes in Sussex. PPA Creative Residencies continue to grow as Music and MFL sessions are also offered to give schools more options.
In the autumn term, Black History and Positive Relationships programmes are always popular choices. Kevin has also delivered a range of INSET days and conferences across Sussex as well.
As schools are increasingly embracing a creative curriculum, Bigfoot Sussex also plans many bespoke days themed around a topic with schools using these as a ‘stunning start’ or a ‘fabulous finish’ to their topic. In September 2015 Kevin will be supported by his wife, Suzanne Holland who will be working on marketing and quality control. Suzanne has taught English and Drama for 17 years and is excited to be working with us as Bigfoot Sussex continues to flourish.
