Introductory Assembly

Hi Mentors! This is where Lead Educator Aidy introduces himself, and all of you, to the rest of your school! This will help your peers understand what the World Friendship Ambassador programme is, as well as what your important role as ‘WFA Mentors’ is all about. Whether your school is new to the WFA, or if it’s been part of the WFA for 1 or more years already, it’s important that everyone knows who you are!

Year 1 Intro Assembly: If this is the first year your school is delivering the WFA, then you’ll need this video! The video, along with how and when to use it, is explained a lot more within your ‘Initial Mentor Training’, so be sure to watch that first. The ‘Year 1 Assembly Guidance Sheet’ will also assist you all with knowing what is covered within this assembly.

Year 2+ Intro Assembly: If you’ve been running the WFA in your school for 1 or more years, everyone will already now what the WFA is all about…but they may need reminding! In this case, rather than play the ‘Year 1 Intro Assembly’ again, your Staff Lead will help introduce you as new WFA Mentors via this helpful ‘Year 2+ Intro Assembly PowerPoint’ Instead. Take a look at the ‘Year 2+ Guidance Sheet’ to help you understand what is covered within this assembly.
