As we head back to school we also continue to celebrate 400 years since the death of Shakespeare. An important time, as any, to show children how they can still enjoy, celebrate and relate to his work today.
Georghia Ellinas, Head of Learning for Globe Education at Shakespeare’s Globe, makes an excellent point that we should “Make Shakespeare Nothing To Fear” by sharing some great classroom activities here.
Here at Bigfoot we absolutely agree and think Shakespeare can be taught in a way that’s enjoyable for all without anything to fear.
Our programmes are wide ranging and refreshingly engaging, looking at Shakespeares famous works and texts from all angles and exploring them in creative ways which students respond to well:
“An engaging and motivational workshop that gives children an excellent understanding of the works of Shakespeare.” Ellie Dowler, St Michael’s CE Primary School
“It was lovely to see the students engaging with Shakespeare and growing in confidence.” Jake Tomsett, Maiden Erlegh School
