At Bigfoot Wales, we believe that every child’s imagination deserves to be celebrated. That’s why we deliver creative, curriculum-based workshops that don’t just tick boxes—they inspire, engage, and bring learning to life across schools in Wales.
Founded in 2006 by BAFTA-nominated actress and theatre maker Jo White (stage name Joanna Griffiths), Bigfoot Wales has grown into a vibrant hub of creativity. Alongside Senior Arts Educator Ellie-Mae Williams and a wonderful team of freelance artists and educators, Jo has built a company that places joy, storytelling, and the power of the arts at the heart of education.
Since our very first workshop, we’ve shared high-quality, arts-based learning with hundreds of schools. From one-off workshops to whole-school projects and touring productions, we create unforgettable experiences where pupils are excited to learn, and teachers feel supported to develop their own creative skills. Our much-loved Mabinogion storytelling workshops bring the magic of Welsh mythology to life, while drama, digital, and creative projects open doors to new skills and confidence.
Everything we do is rooted in the Four Purposes of the Curriculum for Wales. Through play, performance, and participation, we help learners grow into ambitious, enterprising, ethical, and confident young people—nurturing imagination, persistence, curiosity, collaboration, and discipline along the way.
Whether it’s exploring the Expressive Arts, diving into the Digital Competence Framework with hands-on filmmaking and animation, or building confidence through drama, our workshops create safe, inclusive spaces where every child feels valued.
