Our fellow member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance, the Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust , have been working on a brilliant new Cyberscene project. It is an initiative set up in collaboration with children’s charity Kidscape.
The project uses theatre to tackle and raise awareness of cyber bullying alongside wider issues. Through a series of theatre-based workshops, 120 students across four London colleges have been exploring the key concerns and challenges facing them in today’s digital landscape. 28 of the original 120 students will perform alongside a cast of established actors in Cookies.
The performance of Cookies is inspired by true stories of students. It follows seven teenagers dealing with the effects of sexting, radicalisation, cyberbullying and our wider digital world. These are very important, topical and current issues at present.
Written by Award-winning playwright Emily Jenkins, directed by Olivier Award nominee Anna Ledwich, Cookies takes us on a journey which redefines how we perceive our online world. View the trailer here.
In support of our fellow Anti-bullying Alliance member, we are giving away a pair of tickets to see the performance of Cookies at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London on Sunday 29th October.
For your chance to win here’s what to do. Simply comment on the Cookies post on our Bigfoot Facebook page or retweet one of our Cookies tweets on Twitter. The competition closes on Wednesday 25th October and the winner, selected at random, will be announced on Thursday 26th October. Terms and Conditions apply.
