Bigfoot has been providing professional development and training courses for arts practitioners since 2004. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer a continued programme of high quality training opportunities for facilitators, teachers, youth club leaders, play workers, and parents; basically anyone who, like us, loves working with young people using the creative arts!
Drama Games & Exercises day
Next Course: MONDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2017
Bigfoot’s ‘Drama Games & Exercise Day’ is a chance for drama workshop leaders to get together in a safe environment and try out new games and exercises and explore different ways to facilitate those classics that we all know and love! We will look at traditional, stock games and how best to facilitate them or give them a new spin, create brand new games from scratch, explore the different ways that existing games can be used to enhance different areas of the curriculum and also explore advanced facilitation techniques to ensure that you get the most out of each and every game!
HOW TO CREATE DEVISED THEATRE WITH CHILDREN
Next Course: TUESDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2018
Creating a devised performance or leading improvisation exercises with children can sometimes be a struggle – particularly if the children concerned only feel they are doing ”drama” if they are reading from a script or being directed in the traditional sense. This course explores the ways in which devised theatre can be exciting and fun for all young people…and teachers!
ADVANCED BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT
Next Course: TBC
Dealing with difficult behaviour can be the most challenging part of a workshop leaders’ job! Bigfoot’s course will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with any situation.
Course Leader Sarah will spend the day looking at new techniques and observing different practises. She will aim to help you find fresh inspiration in your approach to behavioural issues by giving direct feedback and response about your practise in a fun and exciting way!
WORKING CREATIVELY WITH EARLY YEARS
