Bigfoot have partnered with Bigfooter Emma Longthorne in order to offer schools a completely unique creative learning experience. Emma is a professional actor, puppeteer and facilitator who trained at East 15 Acting School and the Curious School of Puppetry.
We are therefore delighted to be able to provide both Primary and Secondary school students with the opportunity to explore the technique of puppetry, as well as create and animate their very own puppets with Emma herself!

During our puppetry masterclass, students will gain an understanding of the principles of puppetry (breath, weight and focus) and have the chance to create and animate their own puppets. They will work both independently and as a team to bring their puppets to life and learning how puppetry can be used as a powerful form of storytelling in theatre. We will look at different puppetry forms and see how adding puppetry into a production can open up new possibilities that cannot be achieved by actors alone.
