Wolf On Trial

A howlingly good courtroom caper where pupils judge the “Big Bad” for themselves.

Step into a lively courtroom where Judge Chief presides, the press are buzzing, and a very defensive Alexander T. Wolf finally tells his side of the story. Did he really huff, puff, and murder two of the Three Little Pigs or was it all a sneezy misunderstanding blown up by the headlines? In this interactive BIG Experience, your pupils become jurors, court officials, and truth-seekers as they weigh evidence, interrogate witnesses, and deliver the final verdict.

The Story

When a panicked 999 call reports disaster at a straw house, the case spirals: another collapse at a stick house, a terrified third pig behind a brick door, and a Wolf with a suspiciously long list of excuses (and an even longer snout).
With statements from Little Red Riding Hood, Daddy Bear, and Little Miss Muffet, and a cameo from Wolf’s cake-loving Granny, students hear conflicting testimonies, examine exhibits (from a simple cup to letterbox photos), and test the truth behind the tales. Is the Wolf a cold-blooded villain or a misunderstood neighbour with a monumental head cold?

The Experience

This fast-paced, laugh-out-loud show turns your hall into a working courtroom with costumes, music, and multimedia. Pupils are actively involved throughout: setting up the jury, handling exhibits, leading reconstructions, questioning the accused, and deciding the outcome with official “Guilty/Not Guilty” paddles. Along the way they discover how rumors spread, how evidence is tested, and why perspective matters.

Learning & Outcomes

Wolf on Trial builds vital skills across the curriculum while keeping children gripped by the drama:

  • Critical Thinking & Evidence Weighing – Pupils compare sources, spot inconsistencies, and separate fact from fairy tale.
  • Speaking, Listening & Oracy – Structured questioning, jury debate, and confident public speaking.
  • PSHE & Values – Empathy, fairness, responsibility, and consequences of choices.
  • Media Literacy – Headlines vs. reality: how stories are framed, and why it matters.

The Verdict

After examining every clue—from the ingredients list for Granny’s birthday cake to CCTV snippets your pupils deliver the final decision: Guilty or Not Guilty. Whatever they conclude, they’ll leave with sharper judgment, stronger voices, and a fresh take on a story they thought they knew.
