We love that we are all unique in how we live, learn, look, sound, communicate and play! But do we all understand how best to support one another so that we can not only achieve more but, moreover, thrive?
Bigfoot’s KS2 Diversity & Me workshop has been designed in collaboration with young people and seeks to provide children with a forum in which to talk honestly and opening about what diversity and inclusion means to them; what is the difference between equality and equity? How do ensure we respond to everyone’s individual needs? What differences exist with our school community? And, most importantly, what can we all do to support one other more effectively?
New for Summer 2025! Due to popular demand, we are thrilled to offer schools new workshop options for EYFS and KS1 classes.
Everyone’s Unique supports KS1 pupils through a variety of fun games and activities to consider what makes them special and how the unique characteristics that each person has should not only be acknowledged, but respected and celebrated.
Around the World with Boone is designed specifically for EYFS children and delivered by one of our experienced EYFS storytellers. The programme introduces the themes of difference, acceptance, and identity through story and song.
All ‘Diversity’ workshops will support pupils to:
- Learn about the benefits of living in a diverse community
- Recognise and celebrate all the ways we are unique
- Understand how we can actively support one another within our school
communities
- Challenge negative behaviour due to real or perceived differences
- Champion equity and challenge discrimination
A real celebration of everyone’s differences, as well as an opportunity to challenge prejudice and champion the power of tolerance, acceptance and kindness!
