WALES AUTUMN TERM ROUND UP

Bigfoot Wales has had an extremely busy term delivering a range of curriculum enrichment programmes across South Wales. Sarah and Megan travelled across the country delivering a variety of Black History Month workshops to KS2 children and Jo delivered our new Foundation Phase programme ‘My Friend Flo’.

Years 5 and 6 had a great day today, taking part in a Black History Month workshop with @bigfootwales and looking at how everyone can make a change in the world! Trelai Primary School

As well as Black History Month, we have been extremely busy delivering a wide range of Anti Bullying programmes to schools across the country. We were thrilled to be invited back to Burry Port Primary School to deliver our new Anti-Bullying assembly-based programme ‘Choose Respect’

Dyfatty Explorers. A great workshop through role play and drama to learn about showing kindness and respect to others. Anti-Bullying Week. Thank you, Bigfoot Wales! Burry Port Primary

A great workshop for Tim Elkington today, using drama and role play to learn about the importance of showing respect to others. A big thank you to @bigfootwales for your engaging session! Burry Port Primary

Over the past two years, Waun Wen Primary School, in Swansea, have been using Bigfoot to deliver bespoke creative days focusing on Drama and ICT. These workshops act as a hook to engage the learning on given stories that they are focussing on in class. Last year we focused on drama and filmmaking, this year we focused on drama and animation. The children were fantastic at creating original scenes, storyboards, and scripts. Furthermore, they designed and created backdrops, and characters out of plasticine and finally filming their animations using stop motion studio. The children absolutely loved watching their final animations this week and we are very proud of all their hard work. Well done Years 5 and 6 at Waun Wen Primary School!

And finally, we are so excited to be delivering ‘The Clumsiest Christmas Elf’ to our Foundation Phase children in schools across the country throughout December. Effie the Elf cannot wait to meet you all!
