A PSHE Storytelling Workshop for EYFS.
Deep in the magical rainbow forest stands the Story Tree, a tall, ancient tree that holds the tales of all who live beneath its branches. Each year, the forest’s smallest creatures, the insects, gather for a grand talent competition. The prize? The honour of adding a brand-new story to the Story Tree itself.
This year, Tara the Story Tickler has been chosen as judge. But as the competition begins, it’s clear that things aren’t quite as joyful as they should be. The spiders boast about their brilliance, the glow worms glitter with pride, and the snails slide onto stage, all declaring themselves “the best” while putting others down. Tara grows disheartened, where is the kindness, the fun, the friendship?
Then, in the middle of the chaos, the worms quietly slither forward. Without a word, they stretch and curl into shapes until their message is clear: WE ARE ALL WINNERS.
In that moment, the forest learns something powerful, true talent isn’t about being better than others; it’s about celebrating who you are and recognising the strengths in everyone around you. From that day on, the talent show becomes “Story Day,” a joyful celebration where every creature contributes their own story to the Story Tree, honouring friendship, kindness and individuality.
Bigfoot’s I Wish I Could workshop brings this heart warming story to life through drama, movement and storytelling. Children explore themes of self-esteem, empathy and teamwork, discovering that everyone has unique gifts to share. Through interactive play, role work and creative expression, pupils learn that being proud of who they are, and lifting others up, makes the whole community shine brighter.
This imaginative PSHE workshop is perfect for Early Years and Key Stage 1, encouraging confidence, collaboration and compassion in a way that’s magical, memorable and full of heart.
YYou can book this programme all year round, or during Anti-Bullying Week.
