This INSET session can be delivered as a follow up, or in isolation, to ‘exploring sensitive issues’. It explores a carefully curated range of activities which support pupils to have difficult conversations, both with their peers and trusted adults.
The session will help staff to:
- Workshop activities that can be facilitated with young people about how to have difficult conversations with their peers and trusted adults
- Consider activities and methods that can be used to engage less confident pupils
- Support pupils how to access support and identify who can help them
- Facilitate a range of activities that boost pupils confidence, language and conversation skills
- Explore the use of puppetry in tackling sensitive issues and conversations
