We were delighted to have celebrated the 80th Anniversary of VE Day earlier this term with I Vow to Thee My Country; a specially designed interactive workshop for KS1 and KS2 pupils. Through a variety of storytelling and role play activities, children were creatively supported to understand the struggles, sacrifices, and bravery of those who fought and worked for our freedom.
We were thrilled to have received unanimously wonderful feedback from schools, who told us that pupils really benefitted from the programme’s engaging and interactive approach, which gave pupils a greater understanding of British history and the experiences of children their age.

Many schools have told us that they would love us to offer this programme all year round so that their pupils can benefit from our creative and immersive learning approach when exploring WW2 topics. We are so pleased to announce, therefore, that we are now developing an updated version of the programme, The Homefront; Children in War, which is available from September 2025.Â
