“An amazing interactive experience, where children (are) engaged through drama, music and storytelling. All students have walked away with a deeper understanding of British history. ” (Lavender Primary School)
Step back in time and participate in this immersive drama workshop to experience the lives of children & young people during WW2.
Through interactive storytelling and role-play, children will step into the shoes of an evacuee leaving home for the countryside, a child firewatcher helping spot flames in the city, a 7 year old black girl facing discrimination whilst sheltering in the London underground tunnels, and a newly conscripted teen soldier facing the front lines. This engaging 1 hour session will bring history to life, helping students understand the struggles, sacrifices, and bravery of those children who were part of the ‘Homefront’ between 1939- 1945 and helped fight for our freedom.
By participating in a range of drama activities and discussion, we will honour the resilience of those who lived through these turbulent times, ensuring their stories are never forgotten. A powerful, hands-on way to learn about the past and celebrate a future built on unity, hope, and peace.
Up to 5 x 1 hour workshops can be delivered over the course of 1 day.
