It’s Good to Be Me (Reception & KS1)
A joyful, story-led anti-bullying workshop that helps little ones celebrate who they are, be kind to others, and speak up with confidence.
In this playful 45-minute session, a World Friendship Ambassador invites pupils into a make-believe school where they meet Tommy and Sally, two friendly puppet characters who’ve had unkind experiences. Through song, simple role-play, mime and still-image “freeze frames,” children practise their own super powers – Talking, Kindness, Calm Thinking and Bravery, to comfort the characters, make friendly choices and learn how to ask for help.
Pupils leave feeling proud of themselves and the things that make them unique, with a clearer idea of what friendship looks and sounds like, and the confidence to use their voices to solve problems kindly. They practise listening and sharing ideas, understand that differences make a team stronger, and discover that everyone can be a World Friendship Ambassador who looks out for others.
Gentle, imaginative and high-energy, the workshop is a perfect introduction to anti-bullying for Early Years and KS1, aligns with PSHE/RSE and Anti-Bullying Week themes, and turns big ideas into simple, child-friendly tools without anything scary.
Give your youngest learners the language and bravery to choose kindness, because it really is good to be me (and you!).
We deliver this workshop to Primary and infant schools throughout the year, and specifically during Anti-Bullying Week. Schools are advised to book extra early to avoid disappointment.
Each 45-minute workshop caters for a class group of 30 children.
