Safer Internet Programme: Online Behaviour (KS2)
Turning digital citizens into World Friendship Ambassadors
Give your KS2 pupils the confidence, language and habits to behave kindly and safely online. In this fast-paced, one-hour workshop, our Bigfoot World Friendship Ambassador leads an energetic mix of drama, games and guided discussion to explore how we use the internet and smart tech, and how our choices impact ourselves and others. Building on Safer Internet Day’s theme, we look beyond scams to the everyday moments children encounter: messaging, gaming, commenting, sharing and reacting.
Learners warm up by mapping where and how they go online, then dive into interactive activities that bring digital dilemmas to life. Through hot-seating, role-play and still-image work, pupils practise spotting red flags, reading tone, and swapping “bystander” behaviours for “defender” actions. Together we unpick what respectful communication looks like on and offline, what cyberbullying is (intentional, repeated and power-imbalanced), and how empathy and consent guide better choices—before, during and after we post.
The session finishes with a co-created set of “Top Tips for Positive Online Behaviour” that classes can share across the school, alongside clear guidance on where to get help, trusted adults in school and at home, and national support such as Childline. Pupils leave with a practical toolkit: how to protect their reputation, ask permission before sharing, filter and report harmful content, support peers kindly, and seek help early.
Age-appropriate, inclusive and fun, Online Behaviour Drama Workshops turns essential online-safety messages into memorable, lived experience, so your pupils log off feeling informed, resilient and proud to be positive digital citizens.
You can book this fun, engaging drama workshop at any time of the year, as well as during the week of Safer Internet Day in early February. We advise your school to book early!
Each hour-long workshop caters for a class group of 30 pupils from KS2.
