Safer Internet Workshop Programme: Online Safety (KS2)
Give your KS2 pupils the confidence and know-how to stay safe online. In this dynamic, one-hour workshop led by a Bigfoot World Friendship Ambassador, children turn online safety rules into lived habits through drama, games and guided discussion. We explore how we use the internet and smart tech every day, then build a practical SMARTY toolkit: Stay Safe with strong passwords and privacy settings; stop Mean Machines by blocking, reporting and respecting others; grow Awareness of what’s safe to share; agree clear Rules for posting about ourselves and friends; Tell a trusted adult when something feels wrong; and remember it’s up to You to act responsibly.
Pupils practise real-world choices with hot-seating, role-play and still-image activities, learn to spot harmful content and cyberbullying, and rehearse empathetic, respectful communication online. They leave knowing how to protect personal information, where to get help (in school and beyond), and how to turn bystanders into defenders, finishing with class “Top Tips for Staying Safe Online” they can share across the school.
Perfect for Safer Internet Day or any time in the school year, this upbeat, age-appropriate session transforms essential e-safety messages into memorable, positive behaviour, so your pupils log off informed, resilient and ready to be SMART online.
You can book this fun, engaging drama workshop at any time of the year, as well as the week of Safer Internet Day in early February. Schools are advised to book early!
Each hour-long workshop caters for a class group of 30 pupils from KS2.
