The North Round Up!

We have had a wonderful action packed summer term of workshops, assemblies and storytelling events! Launching with Party at the Palace, 6 of our facilitators toured around the North East and Yorkshire, receiving wonderful feedback about the in-role sessions.

Belsay Primary in Northumberland had Bigfooter Zoe in the role as Pip, the frantic party planner, and they sent us some lovely comments after her visit.

‘It was active, energetic and all round brilliant. The children had such a good time while also learning lots of new facts about King Charles. Thank you. Fantastic from start to finish. The lady running the course was brilliant with the children.’

We also relaunched our Uncle Beard’s Garden interactive storytelling programme to celebrate World Environment Day. This explores the story of Delia the Bee who escapes Wildflower Meadow when her habitat is destroyed by construction workers. After many obstacles along the way she discovers Uncle Beard’s Garden, full of every flower imaginable.

Sacred Heart Primary in Newcastle sent us this feedback about our Bigfooter in Residence –

‘The teachers and staff all absolutely LOVED the sessions! They learnt so much and all of the children ‘buzzing’ as they were actively involved.  The teachers told me that Hannah was absolutely superb so we’d just like to say a massive thank you’

We have also been delivering lots of Worry Wizard programmes, from Creative Residencies, to assemblies and workshops for KS1 and KS2, as well as EYFS storytelling. We were particularly busy for Mental Health Awareness Month and World Wellbeing Day.

Aspull Church Primary in Wigan raved about their Worry Wizard assembly and workshops and one child said:

‘I loved everything that Liam taught us. He made me learn a lot. I mostly liked how he got people up to do things. FUN things!’
