EVERYONE’S UNIQUE

This interactive drama workshop helps young learners explore the idea that no two people are the same and that our differences should be recognised, respected, and celebrated. Through games, drama activities, and storytelling, pupils discover both visible and invisible differences, from the way we look to the things we believe, enjoy, and find challenging. By comparing experiences, pupils begin to understand that diversity makes communities stronger and more interesting.

As the workshop unfolds, children explore important ideas around equality, equity, and inclusion in a way that’s playful and age-appropriate. Using still images, movement, improvisation, and engaging characters like Elliot, Mimi and Ben, pupils investigate real-life scenarios and practise ways to respond with kindness, empathy, and fairness. They also learn how to recognise and challenge discrimination, and to think about how their actions can make school a safe, supportive space for everyone.

By the end of the session, pupils will:

  • Recognise the many ways people are unique, both visible and invisible.
  • Understand the importance of celebrating diversity and supporting one another.
  • Be able to explain the difference between equality and equity.
  • Know how to positively challenge unkind behaviour and discrimination.

Everyone’s Unique is an empowering introduction to equity and inclusion that gives children the tools and confidence to treat themselves and others with respect.

We can deliver 1 hour drama workshops for up to 5 x KS1 classes of 30 children over one day.
