No two people are exactly the same; how amazing is that?! Everyone’s Unique is a fun, interactive workshop that helps KS1 pupils celebrate diversity, build empathy, and learn how to create a kind and inclusive school community.
Everyone’s Unique is a 60-minute interactive drama workshop that encourages KS1 pupils to celebrate what makes them and others special. Using games, storytelling, and role-play, children explore visible and invisible differences, such as appearance, beliefs, abilities, and behaviours. Through engaging activities from comparing apples to exploring personal likes, talents, and challenges, pupils learn about equality, fairness (equity), and the importance of inclusion. The use of puppets (Elliot, Mimi, and Ben) helps to spark discussions about real-life scenarios where kindness and understanding can overcome prejudice or unkindness.
The workshop aims to develop empathy, respect, and confidence by highlighting how diversity strengthens communities. Pupils learn to recognise how they can actively support each other, challenge negative behaviour, and appreciate both similarities and differences. By the end of the session, they will understand simple definitions of equality, diversity, and inclusion, know how to respond to discrimination, and be inspired to make their class and school a place where everyone feels valued and belongs.
We can deliver 1 hour workshops for up to 5 x KS1 classes of 30 children over one day.
