Something strange is happening on a remote island, the ground is shaking and a mountain may be about to erupt. In this dramatic Earthquakes and Volcanoes Mystery Buzz Day, pupils become expert investigators as they work together to uncover the cause of the mysterious tremors.
Through movement, drama, news reports and creative role play, children explore how earthquakes and volcanoes occur, how scientists monitor them and how communities prepare for natural disasters. Pupils analyse evidence, recreate geological processes and share safety advice with the island’s residents.
