Animation & Filmmaking Continue to Inspire
Our stop-motion Animation Workshops remain one of our most popular programmes, receiving fantastic feedback from schools across Wales. We love hearing from teachers and parents that children continue making their own stop-motion films at home long after the workshops have finished.
One of this year’s highlights was our environmental animation project with Whitchurch Primary School. The pupils’ film was shortlisted as a finalist in the Climate Challenge Cymru 2026 Awards in the Protect and Restore Nature category, demonstrating the power of creativity to inspire young people to care for the world around them.
Alongside this, our brand-new Filmmaking Skills Workshops have launched with an incredible response, giving pupils hands-on experience of camera work, directing, storytelling and editing while developing creativity, literacy, teamwork and digital skills.
David Attenborough Workshops
Our new David Attenborough Drama and Animation Workshops have also been a huge success. Through drama, storytelling and stop-motion animation, pupils explored conservation, habitats and biodiversity while creating their own environmental films. We look forward to developing these workshops even further next year.
Stand Up, Speak Out
This term we were delighted to spend two days at Mary Immaculate High School, Cardiff, delivering our Stand Up, Speak Out workshops to Year 8 pupils.
The workshops explored respectful relationships, challenging harmful stereotypes, recognising unhealthy influences and developing the confidence to become active bystanders. We received fantastic feedback from staff and thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at the school.
Creative Projects Across Wales
Our Creative PPA programme at Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School continues to thrive, with pupils enjoying weekly drama, filmmaking and animation sessions throughout the year.
Our popular Errol’s Garden workshops have continued to inspire younger learners through storytelling, drama and environmental themes, while our Year 6 Leavers’ Films reached new heights this year with stunning drone footage, creating truly cinematic keepsakes for schools and families.
Growing Our Team
To support increasing demand, we’ve welcomed several talented new practitioners across South Wales, allowing us to reach even more schools and communities, including West Wales and Cardigan.
Looking Ahead
This summer marks our first year as a National Partner for the Food and Fun (Bwyd a Hwyl) programme, and we’re incredibly excited to be delivering our Mabinogion workshops in over 30 schools across Wales. We look forward to inspiring thousands of children by bringing Welsh myths and legends to life through drama, storytelling and creativity.
Planning is already well underway for our biggest festive season yet. This December, our two brand-new Christmas productions will once again tour schools across Wales.
We’re also delighted to be launching our very first community venue tour in partnership with Hawthorn Entertainment, taking our brand-new Christmas pantomime to audiences across South Wales.
