EDUCATOR OF TERM (SPRING TERM)

We take great pride in knowing that each and every one of our educators is an exceptional facilitator and talented individual. However, once per term we like to select a single educator from each region to focus on and tell you a little bit more about…generally if they’ve gone above and beyond for us and the schools in which they work!

Therefore, this term, please congratulate Papi (North), Laura (Wales) & Cat & Hutch (London) for being crowned our ‘Educators of the term’; well done everyone! Want to see why they are our Spring Super Stars? Read on…

Bigfoot North – Papi

This term, we proudly shine the spotlight on Papi, our incredible Educator of the Term!

A performer and facilitator extraordinaire, Papi has travelled the length and breadth of the North, bringing our Be A SMART-Y Safer Internet assembly to life – earning brilliant feedback everywhere he goes! His enthusiasm is infectious, making learning a blast for everyone involved.

“Papi was amazing and was excellent at engaging the children!” – Red Lane Primary School

A huge round of applause and thanks to Papi for his dedication, creativity, and passion!

Bigfoot Wales- Laura Gilluley

We’re delighted to celebrate Laura Gilluley as our Educator of the Term at Bigfoot Arts Education Wales.

Laura first joined us as a performer in our Christmas Panto in 2025, where she was an instant hit with audiences. The children absolutely loved her — she’s extremely talented, funny, charismatic, and full of energy and life.

Since then, Laura has also begun working as a practitioner delivering our Mabinogion workshops, and she has been a huge success with schools across Wales. Both children and staff love her sessions, and we were even sent a message from a parent saying how much their child enjoyed her workshop — which is always wonderful to hear.

We’re really excited that Laura will also be delivering some of our Food and Fun workshops this summer, and we can’t wait to see her back on stage in our brand new pantomime for Christmas 2026.

We’re so excited about what lies ahead and feel incredibly lucky to have Laura as part of the Bigfoot Wales team.

Thank you, Laura! 👏

Bigfoot London – Cat and Hutch!

We are delighted to announce that Rebecca Hutchins and Katrina Spreyer are London’s Educators of the term!

Rebecca and Katrina starting working with us in 2021 and 2023 respectively, and have been the most wonderful Ambassadors for Bigfoot ever since! Along with delivering a range of our core Literacy, Anti Bullying and Mental Health and Wellbeing programmes, they are our Early Years specialist Educators, both delighting the youngest of pupils as the Story Tree tickler and the most magically splendid Elves in our special Christmas programmes.

We are also delighted to collaborate with Rebecca and Katrina’s storytelling company, Cat and Hutch Productions, on the Big Experience; An Atomic Adventure, supporting pupils to explore the world of science through a storytelling lens. Rebecca and Katrina have had a super busy Science Week this term, thrilling KS1 and KS2 pupils with their range of fun and fascinating stories and experiments! The feedback has been outstanding; Sudbourne Primary School told us that:

Rebecca and Katrina were fantastic. They were engaging and made the performance very

interactive. The children across the school all loved it!

Rebecca and Katrina are two of our most popular and hardworking Educators. They are dedicated, professional and ALWAYS smiling; pupils and teachers have nothing but praise for their outstanding facilitation skills and colleagues always love the opportunity to work alongside them. We can’t wait to continue working with them next term, and beyond!

Thank you Rebecca and Katrina!
