The Case of the Missing Cat
Journey back to 1666 as London burns and a new mystery unfolds. In the middle of the chaos of the Great Fire of London, an apothecary’s beloved cat has disappeared, and pupils must solve the mystery before it’s too late.
Through drama, guided storytelling and investigative activities, children explore what life was like in London during the fire and how people attempted to stop it spreading. Pupils search for clues, interview witnesses and help recreate key events from this famous historical moment.
This engaging Great Fire of London workshop for KS1 combines history, maths, teamwork and drama to help pupils understand this dramatic event while developing problem-solving and communication skills.
